Padaro Lane Oceanfront - I
This three-bedroom, two-story 1970s beach house in Carpinteria needed major upgrading, all the way from utility service upgrades to every finish imaginable in and around the home. This was a “down-to-the-studs” renovation. Behind the walls, all new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and insulation.
French Oak cabinetry, floors, marble baths & kitchens, Starphire glass showers, integral-color thin-wall plaster, 316-Stainless steel, and sliding door systems made up the finishes that brought the level of elegance to a high.
On the exterior, a ventilated rain-screen house-wrap system was installed on the entire home with all new pre-stained clear vertical-grain Western Red Cedar siding of varying thickness (to provide a unique relief-detail) was fastened over top. Surrounding a large portion of the home, new Ipe decks were installed to take advantage of the incredible setting.
LFH oversaw the fortification of the boulder sea wall and extensive landscaping, concrete steps that meander down to the sea, outdoor decks and showers, a natural gas fire pit, a new irrigation system, and a magnificent border fence and automatic gate entrance that provided more privacy and security.
What shines most at this beachfront property are the Shangri-la grounds planned to perfection by Brodersen Associates and the finer details of the warm-contemporary designs by Wade Davis Design.
