Hope Ranch
Transforming a non-descript 1970's structure into a fresh and comfortable contemporary home with clean and simple lines was the goal at this Hope Ranch location. The showcase of this home is the unique and highly custom staircase. Built as a single-unit steel structure filled with dense foam for sound and vibration control, every other tread fabricated out of solid laminated walnut is complete with set-in LED lighting for highlighting not only the stairs but also the Galarza stone-clad wall from which the stairs protrude. A walnut "box" behind the stairs is a hidden coat closet with a secret door. Many such details adorn this home.
For entertaining, the beautiful and elegant bar is a focal point that shows the finer details of fine craftsmanship. If you are familiar with "penetration twins" in the geology realm, then you can appreciate the design of these intergrown blocks of stone and hardwoods.
