West Los Angeles

This 2500-square foot residence in Los Angeles was a cautionary tale of shoddy remodeling by previous owners.  LFH worked with the new owner to restore the residence to its former glory, including installing all new heating, plumbing and electrical, stripping down doors, frames and trim, milling lumber and rebuilding an entire corner of the house damaged by leak induced dry-rot.  We even peeled back paint to reveal an original Batchelder fireplace, which is exceedingly rare and valuable.

The crown jewel is the unique custom floor designed by Maya Graber and built in partnership with Erick Nathan.  The breathtaking combination of stainless steel, concrete overlay and thick solid hardwoods of Quarter-sawn Oak, Lacewood, Curly Maple and African Wenge is an indelible work of art.
